When in Biliran

Are you an adventure seeker who wants to explore white sand beaches/islands, chasing countless water falls, springs and even lush mountains? Biliran is a perfect getaway for you!

Biliran offered a wide array of beautiful destination. Located in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines. It is one of the country's smallest and newest island provinces. Often, it is even mistaken to be part of Leyte, and it was in fact sub-province of Leyte until it became an independent province in 1992.

I was able to tour Biliran for one whole day. Thanks to my former Biliranon workmate who toured us in her province.  We visited Biliran Bridge, Bethany Hills, Dalutan Island and Tinago Falls. Honestly, one day is not enough to tour the province, hopefully one time I may able to visit the province again and explore different spots particularly the Sambawan Island, Higatangan Shifting Bar and Ulan-Ulan Falls.

Biliran Bridge. It’s a 150-meter bridge you passed by when commuting from Leyte to Biliran island province.

Walk along the bridge and savor the view of Biliran Strait.

Dare to jump?

Beautiful sights! Panoramic view of Bethany Hills in Brgy. Caucab, Almeria, Biliran.

Little did I know that Biliran has rice terraces too! This was located behind Bethany Hills.

Tinago Falls is the most popular of the waterfalls in Biliran. It has been featured in Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

Agta Beach Resort's tranquil scenery. Facing is Dalutan Island. It will only take 15 mionutes to travel from the said resort.

Dalutan Island. I must say this is the peaceful and most quiet island I've been to!

Blue sky, white pebbles, clear water. Let's dip in!
